John Pollock partnered with Paul Boyd over a year ago. At the time Pollock was looking to grow his firm, Financial Gravity, to become the premier provider of tax planning services to business owners, as well as grow the wealth management side of the business. To do so, he needed help, but wasn’t sure what to do. “I’m an entrepreneur and insanely driven. It’s just how I’m wired. She has spent over seven years as an educator teaching personal finance and business in colleges and universities, to underserved communities, and to corporate partners.

She is originally from Illinois, has served over sixteen years (active and reserve) as an officer in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and worked in two fortune 100 corporations. She holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the U.S. Military Academy, an M.S. in Engineering Management from Missouri University of Science and Technology, an Executive M.B.A from Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University and a certification in Charitable Planning from Texas Tech University. She is currently completing a doctoral degree at Texas Tech University in Personal Financial Planning, where her research objectives are focused on the financial well-being of active duty military, veterans, and women.

Financial Gravity expands team with addition of Kevin Schillo to lead Wealth Management and Compliance

Kevin began in the financial industry in 2004 as a broker at UBS, managing assets in excess of $50 million. In 2007 he joined Rogers Capital Management, Inc. in Ft. Worth as a Registered Investment Adviser Representative, specializing in qualified retirement plan design, personal wealth management advice, and financial planning. He also served as Director of Operations for the company managing a half-billion dollars in assets.

In 2012 Kevin became Director of Operations and Chief Compliance Officer at Whitley Penn Financial, LLP, concentrating on managing special projects and quantitative analyses in several different aspects of Whitley Penn Financial internal operations. He was also responsible for model investment portfolio construction, maintenance and ongoing performance monitoring, both internally and for clients. His compliance duties included supervising the activities of advisors with clients and the public to safeguard against any breach of fiduciary responsibility or violation of legal or ethical regulations.

Kevin is a graduate of Texas Christian University, a former United States Marine and veteran of Operation Desert Storm.
